Global investing can get pretty complicated and we all make it more complicated than it needs to be.
This is why iGlobalStrategist has gone back to a simple & original concept of “picking countries, not stocks” - a great way to organize a global equity growth portfolio.
The iGlobal Country Alpha Portfolio will normally hold 10-15 country ETFs though when valuations are particularly high, cash allocations can be raised up to 30%. No country allocation can exceed 15% of total portfolio.
Countries are selected using a proprietary model challenges conventional backward looking country weightings by incorporating three factors:
1) relative valuations: price to earnings, book, cash flow
2) liquidity & momentum: fund flow data, moving averages
3) macro economic: currencies, interest rates, fiscal policies regulatory issues, elections, trade and security matters
Updates will be issued via email every two weeks. Commentary and country updates will be in bullet form next to each country in the portfolio. Each issue will be no more than three pages long. In short: iGlobal Country Alpha is clean, simple and powerful.
Asset management options are available and discussions are underway to launch the iGlobal Country Alpha strategy as an exchange-traded fund (ETF). iGlobal strategist is also actively seeking distribution partners.
This strategy’s model portfolio has outperformed by a solid margin the MSCI World Index since January 2008 before any fees or expenses.
